Delicious Meatball Appetizers

Servings: 6 to 8


For the Meatballs:

  • 2 lbs. ground beef (preferable Sirloin)
  • 1/2 small onion, grated
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup lightly packed flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 large egg, slightly beaten
  • 4 large cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Extra-virgin olive oil, for browning meatballs

For the Sauce:

  • 1 (16-oz.) can whole cranberry sauce
  • 1 (12-oz.) bottle chili sauce (preferable Heinz)
  • 3 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar


Preheat oven to 325 degree F.

In a large bowl, combine meatballs ingredients until thoroughly integrated. Shape into 1-inch meatballs.

In skillet over medium-high heat, add a 3-count of olive oil. Brown meatballs. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes ensuring to brown meatballs evenly all over. Place into a 13″x9″ baking dish.

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine sauce ingredients. Bring the mixture to a boil. Once hot, remove from the heat. Pour sauce over meatballs. Cover baking dish with aluminum foil. Place in the oven. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until they are glazed and fall apart perfectly.

Serve meatballs skewered on toothpicks
